Our Way of Life
Politicians Tunahan Kuzu (34) and Selcuk Öztürk (44) were in November of 2014 expelled from their polical party, the PVDA, for not signing a statement declaring their trust in the new integration policy of minister Asscher. They described the policy als ‘exclusion politics’. In the eyes of the duo this was the last drop in regards to adjustment and integration.
On the 9th of Februari 2015 Kuzu and Öztürk presented their new political movement Denk (think) to the world. In their own words Denk was created to provide a voice for every tolerant, open-minded citizen believing in a pluralist society; a bottom-up movement for the ‘unheard’. After the emotional break with their own party, creating such a pluralist, multi-culteral and tolerant society has become their mission. The film follows the duo on the road to the 2017 election.
